Terms of Service

By accessing or using the RannaBite mobile application ("the app"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please review these Terms carefully before using the app. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the app.

1. Use of the App

RannaBite is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to use the app for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, other user accounts, or any related systems or networks. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason in our sole discretion.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features and personalize your experience, you may be required to create an account. You can register using your email address and a password, or through third-party authentication services like Google Sign-In (via Firebase Authentication).

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (email, password, linked third-party accounts).
• You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
• Your account, including associated credits and unlocked recipes, is personal to you and may not be transferred or sold to any other person or entity.

3. In-App Purchases and Recipe Credits

RannaBite offers optional in-app purchases through Google Play Billing, allowing you to acquire virtual currency known as **Recipe Credits**. These credits are used solely to unlock premium content within the app.

• **Nature of Credits:** Recipe Credits are virtual units provided for your convenience within the app. They are NOT real money, legal tender, or any form of stored value. They have no monetary value outside the RannaBite app and cannot be exchanged for cash, real goods, or services.
• **No Refunds:** All purchases of Recipe Credits are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for credits purchased through the app, except where required by applicable law or the policies of Google Play.
• **Transaction Processing:** All payment transactions for credits are processed securely by Google Play Billing. RannaBite does not collect, store, or process your payment information.
• **Credit Management:** Your purchased and remaining credits are securely linked to your RannaBite user account and stored in our database.
• **Usage:** Credits can only be used to unlock designated premium recipe content within the app.

4. Premium Content Access

The app offers certain recipes ("Premium Content") that require the use of Recipe Credits to unlock.

• Once a Premium Content item is successfully unlocked using credits, it is permanently associated with your RannaBite user account.
• You will retain access to unlocked Premium Content as long as your account remains active and accessible.
• Access to unlocked Premium Content is tied to your unique user ID and will be available across multiple devices when you log in with the same account.

5. Intellectual Property

The RannaBite app and all its content, including but not limited to recipes, text, graphics, logos, images, software, and the overall design, are the exclusive property of RannaBite or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the app for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our app, except as generally permitted by the app's functionality for your personal use. Any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE RANNA BITE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE PURSUANT TO APPLICABLE LAW, RANNA BITE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RANNA BITE, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF RANNA BITE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES TO ALL CAUSES OF ACTION, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE.

8. Account Termination and Data Deletion

You may terminate your account at any time by following the instructions in the app's settings.

**Account and Data Deletion Request:** You have the option to request the deletion of your account and all associated user data directly within the app's settings.

• Upon receiving your verifiable request, your account data (including your email, Firebase UID, credit balance, and all unlocked premium recipes) will be queued for deletion from our systems.
• **Important Considerations:**
  • This deletion process is handled manually by our team to ensure proper verification and may take **several business days to complete**.
  • **Once your account and data are deleted, this action is irreversible.** All associated personal and app-related data, including any purchased Recipe Credits and unlocked Premium Content, will be permanently removed from our active systems and cannot be recovered.
  • In some cases, certain anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytical or legal purposes, but it will not be linked back to your identity.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the app at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the app, us, or third parties.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to the Terms of Service

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the app after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
